The house of Cavalli dialed down the skin factor (both human and reptilian) last season but pumped up the bold color with a heavy dose of cobalt blue, fuchsia and golden yellow. The Roberto Cavalli man has never been much of a wallflower, whether he was rediscovering his rock and roll roots or the rodeo, but in the last few seasons a sense of refinement paired with strong tailoring has anchored the collections in reality (well, reality for a yacht-owning heir). For fall, the Cavalli team says, "there is an inspiration by the arts and architecture of the east - both light and embellished at the same time." The sketch (above) and inspiration board (below, both exclusive to GQ) gives the impression that the Cavalli man's sophisticated streak lives on, only this season he's joining Mick and the boys in Morocco.
