ESQUIRE:The New Acura NSX

Seldom comes a concept car from The Future that doesn't call to mind a bad Hollywood movie form of futurism (the sort that looks something like what The Future is supposed to look like without actually rendering any sort of real enjoyment). That is to say, even though a car can look as if it's from The Future, that doesn't mean you'd want to be caught dead driving it. And then there's the exception. Like the new hybrid Acura NSX concept, unveiled just now at the Detroit auto show, which we wouldn't mind taking off their hands tonight. Reported to go on sale in 2015 — and reportedly to be featured in The Avengers as Tony Stark's mode of transportation — it looks like we'll have to wait a bit. Though not as long as for most concepts, and the NSX will be made in America. A wait well worth it for the sort of future we're talking about here.
More details at Jalopnik, and more live pictures from Detroit via our brothers at Popular Mechanics.
